Bible Curriculum
At Borculo Christian, we use the Christian Schools International Bible curriculum entitled Walking with God and His People. The second grade curriculum gives students a brief overview of the Old Testament, but the emphasis for the rest of the year is on the New Testament. These lessons stress God's promise of a Messiah. The curriculum starts with the study of a New Testament epistle, the book of James that challenges students to find ways they can apply their faith in Jesus Christ. The curriculum concludes with a study of how Jesus' followers responded to their salvation in Christ and students are challenged to respond faithfully, like Peter and Paul, to Christ's saving work. The workbook presents each student with learning activities, hands-on crafts, and memory verse references.
It is my hope that as a class, we are able to apply biblical teaching to all of life and learning. I pray that through these lessons and class discussions, students' faith journeys will continue to be developed so that they may be Christ to those around them.
